Matthew 28:1-10
The King We Didn't Expect

In this message, we explored the world‑shaping moment when Jesus rose from the dead and revealed Himself as the victorious King. Matthew 28:1–10 shows us the women arriving at the tomb in grief and fear, only to be met with the stunning announcement that Jesus has risen “just as He said.” The resurrection silences fear, confirms God’s promises, and sends God’s people out with joy.

We considered how the angel’s words, the empty tomb, and Jesus’ personal appearance all testify to the unstoppable power of God. The risen Christ meets His followers in their weakness, strengthens them with His presence, and commissions them to share the good news. This passage calls us to worship, to trust, and to live in the confidence that our King is alive and reigning.
