Hebrews 4:14–16
Our Sympathetic High Priest

In this message, we explored one of the most comforting and hope‑filled passages in the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 4:14–16 reminds us that Jesus is not only our exalted High Priest but also our deeply sympathetic one — the Savior who knows our weakness from the inside and invites us to draw near with confidence.

We considered how Jesus, the Son of God, has passed through the heavens and now intercedes for His people with perfect understanding. Unlike earthly priests who were limited by their own frailty, Jesus stands before the Father as the One who has endured every temptation we face, yet without sin. His sympathy is not distant or theoretical; it is personal, experiential, and overflowing with compassion.

Because of who He is and what He has done, we are invited to approach the throne of grace boldly — not with fear or hesitation, but with assurance that we will receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need. This passage calls us to hold fast to our confession, cling to Christ with confidence, and rest in the truth that our Savior understands us fully and helps us faithfully.
