This page offers a simple, straightforward look at the convictions that shape our worship, our teaching, and our life together. These statements aren’t meant to be exhaustive, but they reflect the core truths we hold to and the hope we share in Christ. We invite you to read through them and get a sense of who we are and what guides us.
- The Scriptures – We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error, and the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
- The Trinity – We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- The Person and Work of Christ – We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ and that He is true God and true man. He died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, and now serves as our High Priest and Advocate.
- Humanity and Sin – We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man's salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
- Human Sexuality, Gender, and Marriage – We believe that God created humanity as male and female, equal in dignity and worth, and designed marriage as the lifelong covenant union of one man and one woman. We affirm that God’s plan for gender and sexuality is good and purposeful, and that embracing one’s God‑given biological sex is part of His design for human flourishing. Any attempt to redefine or reject this created distinction falls outside of God’s intended purposes.
- Salvation – We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
- The Church – We believe in a regenerated church membership: those old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, have accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
- The Ordinances – We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Christ to His church, serving as symbolic memorials of His suffering, death, and victorious resurrection. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age, but they are not to be regarded as means of salvation.
- The Return of Christ – We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers to live with zeal and faithfulness as we await His return.
- Last Things – We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
- Church Autonomy – We believe in the autonomy of the local church—that each congregation governs its own affairs and is not subject to any outside religious body or organization.
We recognize the Baptist Faith and Message (2000), adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention, as our fuller statement of faith with scriptural references.
